Promoting the "triangle of trust" between
the cat, the breeder and the pet owner.

We welcome all cat lovers to this site.

Russian Cats Australia is a Website and Facebook portal, providing a contact between breeders and pet owners, new and existing.

Breeders and pet owners need to be seen singing from the same song sheet. If there are no pet owners, there will not be any breeders and
the Russian Cat deserves to be promoted by passionate people who work together.

Our objective is simple, providing a list of breeders that potential Russian Cat owners can access and make contact with the breeders, as well as promoting our majestic breed. We are basing this portal on a “triangle of trust”, between the Russian Cat breeder, the Russian Cat or Russian Kitten and the pet owner. We believe each is as important as the other. Promoting healthy and happy Russian Cats and Russian Kittens, satisfied pet owners and respect between all.

We will also play an important part in the rehoming and welfare of Russian Cats and Russian Kittens.

We are by no means a regulatory body dictating the actual breeding standards of the Russian Cat. Russian Cat breeders are free to have their private discussions and interactions between each other as they see fit for the benefit of the breed.

We ask only that breeders must abide by their Governing Councils rules, regulations, and Code of Conduct, as well as respecting our “triangle of trust” as follows:

TRIANGLE OF TRUST:

Breeder: Ethical breeding of Russian Cats and Kittens with an emphasis of improving the breed and maintaining an excellent reputation. Non-discriminatory. We do not endorse the advertising of Russian Cats on Gumtree or similar. Russian Cats are a prestigious breed and should not need to be grouped alongside backyard breeders and non pedigree cats. If there are cats or kittens that require homing, they will be shown on our website. Notification of this listing would be via our Facebook groups where many pet owners first come looking or enquiring. The reason for feeding back to our website from social media, is that it is forbidden to advertise pets for sale or free on these sites.

Russian cats and kittens: All breeding cats are to be well looked after and kittens be of excellent health. All litters must be registered with the breeders governing body and pedigree papers provided to all new owners. It is the birth right of all pedigree cats to have certified pedigree papers. In turn, this may encourage Russian Cat owners to partake in shows and foster their passion for the breed. There is no doubt that we need to be motivating the growth of new breeders.

Pet owner: Must be treated with respect and any issues that may arise must be addressed in a polite manner. Pet owners must be provided with care instructions which new pet owners must adhere to. A formal signed agreement between breeder and owner is strongly advised. Breeders must be treated with respect and courtesy by the public. We encourage responsible pet ownership and ask all Russian Cats and Kittens remain indoors or in a safe, confined outdoor space.
